Destilleriet Arran blev grundlagt i 1995 i Lochranza, som ligger på den nordvestlige spids af øen Arran. Den første spiritus blev destilleret d. 29 Juni 1995. I forbindelse med destilleriets 21 års Jubilæum har masterdestiller James Mactaggart, udvalgt nogle Sherry Hogsheads fra de 3 første år af destilleriets levetid, og sammensat denne aftapning som er 100% sherry lagret, tappet ved fadstyrke og ikke er kølefiltreret. Der er i alt lavet 5988 flasker hvoraf 80 flasker er kommet til Danmark.
